It is my honor to support "S.W.A.T.T. for Jesus".

In the words of a US Olympic Gold Medalist to "Go To Your Destiny" means to own your destiny, to choose the path to finish the race. Unfortunately, many of our young people do not have the opportunity to even start the race because they have not been taught to understand their significance in this world. The SWATT Ministries vision is to help young and the young at heart experience what it feels like to hold the torch of victory.

As the past Executive Director of the Riordan Programs at UCLA and presently serving as a Professor at California State University Dominguez Hills, I have had a great opportunity to assist young people from diverse backgrounds to pursue their goals. During this time I have come to realized that when something is out of balance in their life it affects how they relate to the other areas of their life, and unfortunately sometimes this inability to cope often leads them down the wrong path.

Yes, our youth need employment, education, training, technical skills etc., but what they need most is personal character development. The mission of "S.W.A.T.T. for Jesus" is to equip our youth with the mental, physical and spiritual strength they need to live God’s way, which is a good way to live. The idea is to teach our youth to put a higher value on character and on doing the right thing rather than what is being taught so much through media - to only value looks, sex and money. If we just take a look at general statistics about our youth and culture – it is obvious that they are hurting and in search of significance. It is my hope that "S.W.A.T.T. for Jesus" will bring this vision to fruition so that our youth learn the character principles to find significance in their life.

I truly appreciate the Liggin’s vision to create a brighter future by using a unique and cutting edge approach to youth and community development.

Go to your Destiny,
Truly yours,

Ardena Bartlett

It is with great joy and conviction that I highly recommend the SWATT for Jesus program. Gary and Valerie Liggins will be providing a much-needed education to youth and young adults, ranging in age from 13 – 21. At the same time, they will also be reaching their constituents in a manner that not only benefits the attendees, but their communities as well.

The Liggins’ mission is to teach the principles of holiness to the youth and young at heart around the world, and equip them with the mental, physical, and spiritual strength they need to live God’s way while living in the world today. I am very knowledgeable of not only their mission, but their integrity as well because I have been working closely with them as a writer, assisting in the written planning of what I’m sure is destined to become a successful and essential program.

Today’s youth find themselves in a tug-of-war between the world’s values and God’s will for them. Not all of them have a place to turn to for the answers regarding the components of living a successful life. The Liggins’ will be presenting information to the youth that will help them to get their lives and priorities in order. Their program is balanced beautifully because it teaches the attendees about topics such as career, finances, etc. and at the same time, incorporates physical fitness, music, and success stories.

I know of no other program like this, and I look forward to seeing it come to pass through SWATT for Jesus!

Sincerely,

Anji Limón
