October 13, 2004 Gary & Valerie Liggins Dear Mr. & Mrs. Liggins, On behalf of the participants in the National Youth Leadership Forum on Medicine in Los Angeles, I would like to express my appreciation for the time and energy you devoted to speaking to the NYLF students this summer. The students returned to their classrooms elated about the knowledge and experiences that they were exposed to. The Seminars provided our students with an opportunity to interact with various medical professionals and to hear about their daily responsibilities and challenges. We believe in the importance of our young men and women interacting with, and learning from, individuals who not only excel in their professional fields, but who are also committed to educating and inspiring others. The students came away from the experience with a wealth of information. Having the opportunity to meet with you is truly an occasion they will long remember. The insights provided during the experience will assist them in their personal lives, as well as help them plan their careers in medicine. At the conclusion of the forum, each student formally evaluates what he or she has learned from each component of the program. In mid-September, the National Youth Leadership Forum will conduct a review of all of our Medical Forums and discuss improvements for future programs based on feedback from the students and participating institutions. Please email me if you are interested in receiving quotes and/or comments that were submitted by the NYLF students this past summer. Please keep in mind that although we encourage feedback from the students, some students prefer not to respond. The National Youth Leadership Forum strives to achieve a program equivalent with the caliber of our students: a program of quality and excellence. We value your contribution to this effort. Thank you again for your gift of time and support! I truly cannot thank you enough for helping me to expose the NYLF Students to an opportunity of a lifetime. Sincerely, Traci Page Program Director |
